There are two main weather seasons in this
area of Thailand, - the 'dry' season, from September or October
to the end of March, and the 'rainy' season, - the rest of the year.
Even during the 'rainy' season, the normal daily weather pattern
is for two/three hours of rain early evening or during the night,
followed by warm sunshine.
The Tourism Authority counts a 'heavy
rainy day' as one with more than 35mm of rain in 24 hours and this
peaks at an average of 1.7 days per month, in August, (all golf
courses are open twelve months of the year).
Average daily temperatures vary
from a low of 24 degrees centigrade in December, to a high of 28-29
degrees in April/May.
